Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka is a Belarussian born in Minsk. Sergey was a professional hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born May 5, 1998, was born in Minsk Belarus. Aryna is the holder of twelve WTA Singles titles. One of which was the 'Grand Slam' at the Australian Open 2023. Doubles is another sport where she is a pro. In the US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021, US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both won with Elise Mertens. Additionally, she was able to complete the Sunshine Double in 2019, and won in the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open with Elise Mertens. Only four women's pairs have achieved this achievement. Her ranking went from second to third in the singles world rankings on 23 August 2021. Her top ranking came in January of 2023. In doubles however she pushed her way to the top in February of the same year, following the win in Melbourne becoming thus the second tennis player from Belarus to achieve success in this specialty. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis pro, worked with her throughout the 2018 season until the end and part of 2020's season. Dieter Kindlmann was the coach she worked with from the month of August till September 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman is coaching her for the past year. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova have been her biggest idols.
